By Chad R Fisher
Greenville, North Carolina is a bustling city,
offering a small town feel in a larger more urban area that provides
much needed jobs for the Carolina economy. Commonly known as the
“Emerald Cityâ€, Greenville NC has always been renowned for its
excellent educational system and its outstanding hospitals. One of the
largest hospitals (and a large employer) in North Carolina is Pitt
County Hospital. Greenville NC is also the home of East Carolina
University and the Brody School of Medicine.
Living in Greenville
is pleasant because the local community has gone to great lengths to
preserve its heritage and culture. The city has some of the best
schools in the nation and also prides itself on its excellent track
record postgraduate education. Besides East Carolina University, there
are many small colleges which offer excellent education and technical
training in a variety of fields.
Greenville NC has ample parks,
recreational facilities and a multitude of sporting venues that house
everything from minor league baseball to community college basketball.
The surrounding area of Greenville has excellent parks which offer
hiking, biking and camping. Of course, there are lots of decent golf
courses. Sports illustrated named Greenville the Sport Town of the year
in 2004.
Both in and around the city of Greenville are a vast
number of malls, shopping centers, cinemas and a wide range of
restaurants. The city also holds many arts and cultural festivals
during the summer months. Greenville has always been a student town but
over the years, a fair number of older folks have come here to retire.
The old traditional sense of community pride has always made Greenville
a very hospitable and gracious town to live in.
Greenville offers
a variety of real estate holdings including everything from single
family and semi detached homes, condos, luxury homes, homes by the
water, classic and historical homes and even apartments. For the
retired folks who would like historic homes, real estate is also

The turbulent economy has
had an impact on the Greenville NC property for sale, but Rudy Schulte
can guide you through these ever changing times. Whether one is
considering buying, or selling a home, or planning to relocate, the
real estate market in Greenville, North Carolina still has something to
offer. Unlike most cities and towns in the USA, the real estate market
in Greenville is on the upswing. Away from the city center, Greenville
has many more suburbs which also have affordable housing. If you prefer
to stay away from the downtown area of Greenville, take a look at the
real estate market in the nearby cities of Farmville, Ayden, Simpson
